About North Stamford Christmas Trees

Our "roots" in the Christmas Tree business in Stamford date back to 1971, when Dan Mecca sold his first Christmas Trees with his father,  Nick Mecca, at the North Stamford Exchange Club Tree Lot on High Ridge Road.  Many Stamford residents will remember this Tree Lot, which was located at 673 High Ridge Road, roughly diagonally across the street from Fusaro's/K's Market,  for decades.

Dan continued to sell Christmas Trees at that original location every year thereafter, eventually becoming a Member and Officer of the Club, and ultimately becoming Chairman of Christmas Trees. Dan served in that position for over 20 years, growing the business every year, and building a reputation for having top quality Christmas Trees.

Later, Dan ventured out on his own, along with various friends, and created North Stamford Christmas Trees at the former Pine Hill Nursery site, thus continuing to serve the community. North Stamford Christmas Trees offered Premium Grade Fraser Fir and Balsam Christmas Trees, Custom Decorated and Undecorated Wreaths, Pine Roping, Tree Stands, and other Christmas items at competitive prices, thus becoming known as having the "Best Christmas Trees In Town!"

North Stamford Christmas Trees ceased operations at Pine Hill a few years ago, but Dan kept active in the Christmas Tree community by occasionally being a "Guest Host" at a friend's Tree Lot.

Today, the tradition that began over 50 years ago continues, as Dan has personally returned to an exciting new area of Christmas Tree sales in Stamford!
